30 years ago, April 13, 1991 we were married by Maureen! First we were going to the courthouse. My now husband Kim, met Maureen at work, he told her you sound just like my lady Gail. Maureen & I were raised in Massachusetts, lived in Alabama for several years, settled in Florida, so our accents were similar. Kim told Maureen you have to meet Gail. We met and soon began planning our small intimate backyard wedding!
Maureen thought of every small detail. She picked up and delivered our cream cheese cake! From putting flowers in my hair, making sure pictures were taken before, during and after the vows, to the vows she chose for us were perfect.
Maureen has become more than a friend over the years to us. Anyone who chooses to be married by her will be Blessed forever.

In the summer of 2012 my wonderful husband and I renewed our vows surrounded by family, friends and our children. Maureen performed the ceremony. She is amazing and everything was so lovely! I would recommend her whole heartedly.

December of 202 we celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary by renewing our vows aboard the Starlite Princess Cruise. Maureen was an incredible officiant, she knew the boat inside and out, went above and beyond. It was a very special evening thanks to Marriages by Maureen!

Maureen Clancey was our officiant for our wedding in March of 2020. Leading up to the wedding Maureen met with us multiple times and was very understanding of our preferences as we did not want a completely traditional wedding (we are a lesbian couple). She made sure everything was what we were wanting in vows and took out the items we did not prefer to say. She was very professional in all aspects of the wedding planning and performing the ceremony. She never once tried to overstep or push any of her own preferences over what we wanted. If she had any questions, she always asked right away so that she would know exactly what we wanted and what needed to be changed, if anything. We had a handfasting during our wedding and we wanted to do a new handfasting a year and a day after our wedding and Maureen was the only person we wanted to do it. We would 100% go with her again (and we will each year for our handfastings). She kept us from freaking out when time was an issue and assured us everything would be okay. Her attention to our needs was more than we could ask for.

I am a caterer in Pinellas Park with a venue space called Park Station. In the last year I have had the pleasure of working side by side with Maureen twice. The first being a wedding and the later, a celebration of life. Both times I felt an overwhelming sense of relief as soon as we began planning. Maureen pours herself into orchestrating a memorable event. She is trustworthy, knowledgeable, organized from start to finish and prepared for even the slightest hiccup that may occur. Positivity flows through her and her experience shines in her work. She manages all this while keeping your needs, wants and desires in mind. A true expert at her craft. I would gladly take part in any event Maureen has a hand in and I encourage her services to all of my clients , friends and family.
